Transforming Your Food Cravings By Establishing New Thought Patterns

I thought it would be fun and insightful to compare my food cravings from before and after my weight loss story. This is probably the best way to illustrate how much my thinking has changed since starting my new lifestyle. I’ve always loved food and cooking, but the way I see nutrition and healthy living has changed for the better. In fact, over the past fourteen months, as I lost 50, 75 and finally 100 pounds, I’ve come to notice that my very DESIRES and CRAVINGS about certain types of food have changed.

I admit that it is still a battle, day-in and day-out, but it’s becoming easier all the time. It can take a while to break an old habit and start a new one, and its the same thing with thought patterns to do with food. By saying “no” to a certain kind of food repeatedly, over the course of a year I’ve noticed that the cravings I had for certain types of foods aren’t as strong as they used to be. I’m learning to love new kinds of foods that make my body much happier and make me feel a whole lot better.

If you want to not only lose weight, but also KEEP IT OFF then dieting is not the answer. The only way to be successful long-term is to actually change your thinking patterns related to diet and exercise. Establish a whole new way of living. It’s not easy, I know, but it is POSSIBLE. For me personally, The Diet Solution helped a lot. Because it was able providing an answer, a SOLUTION to getting fit that didn’t involve flash dieting. Rather, it was about a lifestyle. Not a lifestyle of self-denial and restriction, but of training your mind and body to desire different foods.

 

I don’t want to pretend that I’m a totally different person with some sensational weight loss story. I can’t stress this point enough. Eating will always be a battle for me. Some days it feels like a war. But it’s a battle I’ve starting winning, one day at a time, week after week, month after month. Never giving up, always holding my ground, and keeping my waist-line in check. If you’ve been on the losing side for a while, you may feel like that’s where you’ll always be. I want to encourage you and tell you were made to WIN THE BATTLE. Don’t give up. If I can do it, then I know you can too!
